An author after my own heart!

What is it about exploration that sends my heart racing and makes me totally green with envy? Tahir Shah's travel books started me on my journey of personal exploration and writing. Now I've found another author whose book sucked me in and made me contemplate brushing off the old passport and booking the first cheap flight anywhere. But let Scott Stoll tell it in his own words!

Falling Uphill
25,742 miles on a bicycle, 1461 days, 50 countries, 6 continents & 4 moments of enlightenment. If you could do anything...?

In one week, Scott Stoll lost his job, his best friend, his girlfriend and his confidence. Full of angst, unsure of where he was going and whether he really wanted to go there, Stoll asked himself a question: “If I only have one life, one chance, if I could do anything, what would I do?”

His answer resulted in a journey around the world by bicycle seeking answers to the great mysteries of life, vowing not to stop until he found happiness. The quest wasn’t easy. He was: imprisoned, bedridden, diseased, run over, robbed, injured, exhausted, discouraged and heartbroken. But more importantly, he also discovered kindness, peace, love, beauty, inspiration, hope and—Yes!—happiness, in the most unlikely places.

Re-live and re-imagine a journey around the world on a bicycle as a man stumbles through moments of pure survival through moments of pure enlightenment, and re-discover the passion to live your “impossible” dream, if not live beyond your wildest
imaginations.
