The President of J. Herbin Ink Took an Interest and Responded Immediately

Laurent Nusse, president of J. Herbin, viewed the pictures and my emails this morning. It was his first opportunity.

I received the following: "We tested the ink with gold nibs.  The ink is very rich in pigmentation. That is what gives it its depth of color.  And so it slightly leaves a residual taint which cleans right away with water. There is nothing out of order and will not be damaging to any pen."

My bottle will soon be on its way to Exaclair for testing to ensure that all is as it should be. They are replacing the bottle and I'll be happy to post my future experiences.

In short:
1] This company once again lives up to its reputation for customer service and eye for quality.
2] The color is so extraordinarily beautiful that I'm looking forward to future reviews.

Kudos to J. Herbin for speedy response time and a beautiful ink. This company can give lessons in service and I remain a very happy customer.

Stay tuned for reviews of other J. Herbin colors in broad, stub, and italic nibbed pens, as well as paper products from the Exaclair companies.
